Course Aim
The N405 – Crane / Lift Supervisor training aims to ensure you or your employee has the skills, knowledge and understanding to use the machine safely and efficiently.
Course Description
Lift supervisor training course and assessment cover:
- Understanding the roles and responsibilities of a crane supervisor.
- Legislation regulations and codes of practice relating to lifting duties.
- Understanding risk assessments, method statements and lift plans and briefing to all involved in the lifting operation.
- Different types of cranes and their capabilities.
- Understanding crane documentation.
- Understanding crane stability, duty charts, and safety devices.
- Inspection and examination of all relevant certification.
- Observing British Standards 7121.
- Preparing a work area with exclusion zones.
- Identifcation of hazards.
How is the Course assessed?
The NPORS crane / lift supervisor training ends with a theoretical and practical test.
What Certification will I receive?
Our crane / lift supervisor training is NPORS accredited. After successfully completing the course, trainees would be given a NPORS Operator/Trained Operator card.

Trained NPORS Operator Card
Trained NPORS Operator Card, is a card provided by the NPORS for those that are at the initial stage of their career in plant operation. This card verifies the core skills and knowledge to work in their chosen field (under supervision) while they complete the applicable SVQ or NVQ or other relevant vocational qualifications.
